Maryland Public Television is offering two FREE field trips as a part of our Iconic Maryland Project. Learn about the rich history each location has to offer. While there, take some time to snap a few photos for our Iconic Maryland Photography project.
Space is VERY limited, so please register soon. Each trip is free to attend, however, a small refundable deposit is required to hold your spot.
Harriet Tubman Underground Railroad Byway

The Harriet Tubman Underground Railroad Byway recounts the life story of Harriet Tubman – freedom seeker, Underground Railroad conductor, abolitionist, suffragist, human rights activist, and one of Maryland’s most famous daughters. Walk on the ground of many iconic places and learn more about this important Maryland History.
The National Museum of Civil War Medicine

The National Museum of Civil War Medicine is the premier center for the preservation and research of the legacy of Civil War Medical innovation and humanitarianism. The Museum believes that by connecting the past to the present, they can provide context and insight for historical problems, and inspire innovative, creative, and different ways of thinking about current issues.
