Iconic Maryland
Maryland is often referred to as "America in Miniature." Not only does our state have a greatly diverse population, we have a myriad of landscapes to explore. From the mountains to the beaches, Maryland offers residents and visitors a wide variety of places to visit and a rich history to uncover. If you were to ask what is Maryland known for, you might receive answers such as blue crabs, the Chesapeake Bay, the birthplace of the National Anthem, or the "Old Line State" nickname. But did you know about Maryland's deep roots in arts and entertainment or that Maryland played a pivotal role in the civil rights movement?
Join us as we uncover some of the stories behind Maryland’s iconic locations such as Frederick, the Eastern Shore, Baltimore City, and beyond.
